“Some Illinois fields have almost record corn yields in them, while other fields are in the low hundreds,” says Ken Ferrie, Farm Journal Field Agronomist and owner of CropTech Consulting in this week’s edition of Boots In The Field Report.
Ferrie details crop results from the top of Illinois through central parts of the state and into the southern area. One caution for farmers who haven’t harvested corn yet: “Toxins ramp up when your corn gets below 24% moisture, so be aware of that.”
